Memories from Ommen

The title of this project Restoration- storytelling and social inclusion - was very challenging from the beginning, opening in our minds many doors for questions. The only certitude I had was that only special people involve themselves in Erasmus projects.

The MAGIC team (Jan, Vojta, Chatsik, and Santa) offered us a great experience by organizing very careful each moment of the days and each activity.

First of all the place they choose for this project it’s a magic one- Olde Vechte Foundation it’s situated in a very quiet nice forest, with a lovely lake nearby and with good conditions for such a big group of more than 60 persons.

The organizers had a good plan for leading so many youngsters toward the main purpose of the project: to open minds and souls throughout stories from national legends to personal ones. They did a good job by splitting the group in smaller teams with people from different countries, offering thou the possibility to know better each other, to communicate in order to realize the tasks they had to.

The program was very dense, interesting, but funny, entertaining, having both indoor and outdoor activities, each one with a different goal, but altogether had the same objective- to create a magic story. The workshops followed this line, bringing us information related to the theme or connected to our interests.

The  last performances  in Olde Vechte revealed how borders disappeared in this friendly atmosphere, due to everybody commitment.

As team leader I consider this project was a great chance for teenagers from different European countries to create a wonderful story about magic people in a magic place.
